Our journey began in the vibrant 1990s, driven by a deep desire to weave the beauty of the arts with the transformative power of faith. What started as localized efforts quickly grew into a movement of creative discipleship, reaching hearts through authentic expression.
Recognizing the profound impact of this unique calling, Heartdance Ministries Inc. was officially formalized in 2008. This milestone allowed us to expand our reach, establishing a firm foundation to support and nurture artists, leaders, and communities worldwide.
Today, our endeavors span across multiple initiatives—from the Lazarus Project to Red 12—continuing to challenge the status quo. We remain steadfast in our mission to equip the next generation with the tools they need to lead with both creativity and conviction.

A thriving urban movement dedicated to cultivating identity through intense creative disciplines. Red 12 empowers the next generation to lead with authenticity, grounding their artistic excellence in deep discipleship.

For Ruth, art is not merely an expression of skill, but an overflow of a deep, abiding relationship with the Creator. Every stroke of the brush, every movement, and every note played is an invitation to experience the Father's heart.

For over two decades, Tom and Ruth have carried a profound pastoral mandate, pouring their lives into discipling the next generation of creative leaders and artists.
Serving as elders at Occupied Church, their primary heart is to see believers firmly rooted in the Father’s love, equipped to navigate the powerful tension between artistic expression and grounded spiritual discipline.
Their leadership is defined not by seeking a platform, but by a quiet, steadfast dedication to mentoring individuals—guiding them to discover their unbreakable identity in Christ and their unique calling in ministry.
